In addition, services will promote the family’s relations with a social network that supports positive and pro–social behavior. Likewise, difficulties in the child’s peer relations and school performance should be identified and the family should be encouraged to promote the child’s positive social relations and academic performance in these contexts. Services shall be made available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Goals
The goals of Family and Community Partners are to:
1. Reduce long–term rates of criminal offending in serious juvenile offenders
2. Reduce the range of out–of–home placement options includes group homes,
foster homes, detention centers, kinship care (with relatives), mental health
facilities,
correctional facilities, specialized foster homes, and developmental treatment
facilities.
3. Improve family functioning
4. Decrease mental health problems for serious juvenile offenders
5. Assist the child with issues of loss and reengagement with the family
6. Assist the family in preparing for the return of the child from
7. Assess family strengths and possible barriers to reunification
8. Work with the family to identify issues which may lead to out–of–home
placement
